Human Resources Database, Southern African Transport and Communication commission (SATCC), Maputo, Mozambique. The assignment included information systems design and installation to facilitate creation and maintenance of a regional approach to sharing and exchange of resources, facilities and systems in the human resources development of the transport and communication sector in the SADC region.
Sugar Supply and Demand Study in Kenya, The Kenya Sugar Board. PPI completed a sugar supply and demand study for the Kenya Sugar Board. The Study examined the structure of the industry, institutional, policy and regulatory frameworks, consumer behaviour at both domestic and industrial levels, import and export arrangements, production and marketing capacity, international and regional trade agreements and protocols, cane production and pricing, and welfare benefits, and made supply and demand projections through 2007. Evaluation of the Natural Resources Management Support (NRMS) Project, Government of the Republic of Niger: NGR/NRMS/004. The evaluation assisted the Government of Niger and other actors in natural resource management to design and implement activities supporting natural resource management. The evaluation examined a range of activities conducted under the project and described the contribution of the NRMS to national development. Assessment of the Private Sector Technology Transfer Methods, Ministry of State, Office of the President, Zimbabwe. The PPI Agricultural Economist, on request of the Zimbabwe Government, was commissioned to conduct an analysis and assessment of successful private sector endeavours involving agribusiness, cooperatives, NGOs, PVOs, farmers’ groups and other associations engaged in extension services. The resulting critical review identified conditions and methods, which support private sector technology, transfer activities for farmers in Zimbabwe.
